Merck comes in on top
Among the major pharmaceutical companies compared, Merck & Co. fared best with an overall score of 82.75. It was tied with J&J for the highest overall Glassdoor ranking. Merck was also the best-scoring Big Pharma in our analysis in 2023, that also included smaller firms. In the recent ranking, J&J was behind Merck & Co. with score of 82.0 and Roche Pharmaceuticals rounded out the top three with a score of 80.25. At the lower end of the spectrum, AbbVie and Bristol Myers Squibb tied at 73.0 for the lowest scores. In the middle, the scores were broadly similar: Pfizer (79.5), Novartis (77.5) and Sanofi (77.25). The full data are below. You may need to scroll to see data from all eight companies.
