BTX has introduced a new MicroPoration technology for transfection of 10µl to 100µl sample volumes. The BTX system consists of a pulse generator, safety chamber, and MicroPorator pipette.
MicroPoration is an electroporation technology, which enables the transfection of small sample volumes. Transfection takes place in the actual pipette tip. This non-viral method is also ideal for transfecting a wide range of hard-to-transfect cells (including primary cells, human stem cells, and neurons). The high-performance pulse generator has a graphical user interface for easy setting and operation. All electrical parameters are controlled by the user including voltage, number of pulses, and pulse duration. Pre-optimized electrical parameters are provided and updated through the technical support group.
