Affymetrix has launched the GeneAtlas System, which offers a complete personal solution for processing Affymetrix microarrays. The system comes with everything needed to get biologically relevant results: stations for fluidics, imaging and hybridization, and a computer workstation. It also includes analysis software designed for life science researchers looking for a whole-genome view at prices comparable to low-plex technologies.
The GeneAtlas System provides a simple microarray workflow for gene-level expression in an easy-to-use package and at an unmatched price, according to the company. Researchers can take control of their samples, reduce the cost of experiments, and decrease time to results and publication.
Array strips for the GeneAtlas System are available in 3’ IVT or whole-transcript (WT) expression designs and include human, mouse, and rat arrays as well as 17 other planned model organisms.
