Novo Nordisk has been granted approval by the European Commission for FlexTouch, a prefilled insulin pen.
The approval is for NovoRapid (insulin aspart) and Levemir (insulin detemir), insulins currently delivered in FlexPen.
FlexTouch is the company’s latest prefilled delivery system, . An easy-touch button requires very little force to inject the insulin at any dose.
Launch timing of FlexTouch in specific EU countries is pending local negotiations in each country.
