The XF96 Extracellular Flux Analyzer simultaneously measures the two major energy-yielding pathways—aerobic respiration and glycolysis—in a microplate format.
This measurement of cellular bioenergetics is label-free, enabling time-resolved analysis and the reuse of the cells. XF assays provide increased throughput in a drug discovery format.
The analyzer incorporates disposable, fluorescent-based optical sensors; multiplexed, fiber optics; and integrated, electronic components. Researchers can simultaneously measure oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR); perform time-resolved measurements of a single population of cells over periods of minutes, hours, or even days; and re-use cell samples after completing an XF measurement.
On display at Lab Automation 2009, booth 578.
