The Nikon A1R-si confocal microscope combines high-resolution galvanometer scanning and a high-speed resonant scanner in a hybrid design with a high-resolution spectral acquisition device, in a single instrument. Providing researchers with a single instrument for a variety of experiments that previously would have required multiple pieces of equipment.
A1R-si is the only confocal microscope to use the high-speed resonant scanner and the galvanometer scanner simultaneously, enabling users to acquire data and stimulate the sample at the same time in order to record real-time results.
Pairing the resonant scanner with the spectral detection system allows up to 32 channels of spectral data to be acquired at up to 16 frames per second (fps). The features make the A1R-si the most flexible, high-performance confocal instrument commercially available, according to the company.
