Optical Projection Tomography (OPT) is a wholemount imaging technology from the UK’s Medical Research Council, which produces 3D images and virtual sections of small biological specimens. The instrument is a compact desktop scanner controlled directly from PC without using any additional interface cards. Its CCD-Camera features a high quantum efficiency sensor operated in on-chip integration mode. The OPT Scanner 3001M Workstation: is at least equivalent to dual processor 3.2 GHz and includes a RAID disk array, minimum 2GB of RAM, a workstation class graphics card, and a DVD writer. Scanning, data visualization, reconstruction, analysis, and viewing software packages are preloaded.
